A Manatowoc 4600 Dragline was being used by the Florida Crushed Stone company to excavate limerock under water. Previous normal operations burned 22.5 gallons per hour of fuel and after treating the fuel with DS-600i, after fuel consumption leveled, it remained at 17.8 gallons per hour which is a 20.9% decrease in fuel consumed.
The net costs savings were approximately 20% taking into consideration the cost of the fuel and treatment costs.
