“After defining the baseline data before adding the product to the fuel tank feeding both our boilers and generators, we used the product for 9 months. This case provided us with insightful information suggesting that the hotel experienced a 15.5% fuel saving on our boilers.

The fuel was being treated with the product between April and December 2016. The average temperature in December 2016 was clearly cooler compared with December 2015. From our spreadsheet, you can see the fuel consumption compared to the guest occupancy is almost linear. This can be supported with the fact that the guest occupancy in 2016 increased at the same rate of fuel consumption (average daily consumption).

The average temperature in December 2016 was about 5% cooler yet there was not a 5% increase in fuel consumption average per guest. When we compared the previous data from 2015 to 2016, we calculated that given the cooler temperatures in 2016 the average fuel consumption per guest should have increased by 26% Delta T@24oc and by 5% Delta T@ 55oC, as it would normally in cooler temperatures. In 2016 with the cooler temperatures and increase in guest occupancy, the hotel should have consumed an average of 15.5% more fuel to maintain the room and hot water temperatures, but it did not.

This clear economic benefit should be recognized. Our organization has decided to continue using the product for our boilers and generators. The conclusion is that the product improves our operation economically, operationally as well as it reduces harmful emissions and brown smoke production, which is positive for the environment and public health. We did not experience any negative effects during this 9-month use of DS-600i.”
